Why is it that the K2 printhead needs to be cleaned regularly ? I have 5 MP CW2200's and at least twice a week they are all blanking out the black sections on prints. They are all under 30,000 sq feet (K usage). I have them shutting down and starting up so the heads can be cleaned when the clients are not at work. Is it because they don't get used on an every day basis ? Or are they meant for print shops ? Any thoughts would be welcomed. Thanks

Re: MP CW2200
From bulletin 007R:As an example, from the discussion with the customer, it was identified that they need to run 1 cleaning of K2 every morning to correct quality. Knowing this we can then go to SP 2520 to identify the print head(s) that require additional maintenance. Therefore, the customer will not need to perform this daily. The head is identified by entering a binary value from 1-15 using the table 1 below. With our example where K2 was missing we would enter 2.
Then increase the value of SP 2521-003 by 1. This will increase the number of cleanings done on K2 head during power on maintenance cycle from 1 to 2. Also change SP 2513-001 from 10 to 3 or 4. This will cause the machine to run a maintenance cycle before a print job if the machine has been idle for the number of hours set instead of 10 hours.
