Slimsob, thd jam location is J001

J001 is a jam at power on. If it is the initial jam code then you have a problem with a door switch. It will also be shown when there is still a jam after the door has been opened and closed.

Thanks for the information

Yesterday i had opened the switches to check them.
Both are fine. As i checked them thru the multimeter. (digital)

So, any advice on how to proceed with this?

The small push button switches used on some of the doors will break contact momentarily during operation and cause J001.

As im in India its difficult to fetch one of these switches. Will report the outcome if at all i find a switch. Lol!

yeah!......There's a piece of the tray assembly sitting on top of paper sensor!
Either that, or it's just so filthy that the sensor itself is covered in it, and malfunctioning!

That LED normally indicates that there are prints in that tray. As there is nothing in the tray sandmanmac is right. As I didn't see any obvious problems with the tray, I'd check to see if the sensor is full of dust first though.

If this is the state of the outside of the machine after working on it for 3 weeks, I can only imagine what the inside looks like -no wonder it has some issues!

Hello. Yes,it was loads of dust. Now the green light is gone. 1 reason less to worry.

Yeah image my position whike im dealing with machines like this. Anyway ive got used to this. 'dust' is a very common issue bere in india. Yet, we have people like you to help us if in trouble. Thanks sir

Hello.
Today i received 2 pairs of new door switches.
I replaced them, and turned the machine on.
Yet, the paper jam and door open alert persists.

Im struggling with this from say 3 months. Customer bombarding me, and so is my boss.
So any help would be appreciated. Thanks again

Looking at the state of this machine, I firstly give the machine a good PM, by that I mean remove all main items & CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN! especially the sensors.

It is also a good idea to update the firmware while you're at it.

My first thought is that when you had the machine apart you dislodged some dust etc & it is now blocking a sensor.
