From the manual
When installing the new BCU
1. Remove the EEPROM from the old BCU.
2. Install the EEPROM on the new BCU after you replace the BCU.
3. Reassemble the machine.
4. Turn on the main power of the machine.
5. "SC995-01" occurs.
6. Enter the serial number with SP5811-004.
7. Turn the main power of the machine off and on.


So check the BCU controler board

• Defective BCU
• EEPROM Replacement error
1. Install the previous EEPROM.
2. Input the serial number with SP5811-004, and turn the main power switch off/
on.

Does the machine accept the new serial-number? As far as I know, you have to use special service mode (143) to change the serial-number.

1. In the beginning you change the entire main board then the problem occurred and the code 995-001 then you returned everything as it was in the first

2-then you change Nvram and put new serial code did not disappear and still the problem as it is

the serial number is in eeprom (bicu board)
when you put a new nvram in the controler board,SC 995 will appear, you must turn off the machine(the serial number is automatic copy from eeprom to nvram)
when you turn on again the machine is ready.
the nvram must be a new one ,not one that was in another machine before

1) you don't have the service manual
2) you are not a dealer tech
3) you haven't called Ricoh
