    MPC 3502 Calibration question.

    hi
    I am in the process of prepping a low meter mpc3502 for delivery next week to ann account of mine.
    I dont have said manual but have up to the previous series mpc3001.
    Is calibration the same?
    2nd question.
    does the keyboard usb and sd slots work for scanning to also or are they for printing from only?

      Yes you run MUSIC & ACC the same as on previous models
      You can scan to & print from USB & SD card slots from the operation panel.

          I thought so but just needed to confirm.Is the printing from a flash drive any faster than using a pc via nic?

              Printing via a PC will be faster & you also have more driver printing options that you dont get if printing fron a usb stick

                  got it..
                  do the models change much in print out speed when doing something like a full color
                  11 by 17 poster, which i have had issues with a local print shop as it seems to take a while
                  to print the 1st page..

                      Actual print speed is the same. If print or scan from/to memory device is not available, you might need to turn it on in SP mode. Should be the same SP used to enable the memory device option for the C3001.

                          thnx but what i was trying to ask does the newer model process the job quicker..
                          I THOUGHT USB SD scan was defalt on the 02s

                                  just something i saw on richoh's site concerning calibration on the 02 series.




                                  Colour problems after doing ACC. 02 series including C6502
                                  We've been having and odd problem with C5502 copiers. This has happened on about 5 copiers that we have installed. Everything runs good on them, but there is no contrast in the mid tones, causing the colours to be off shade for mid range tones. This is noticeable in the printed pages when doing the ACC. The first copier we had this problem with we changed out all the boards (BICU, IPU, Controller), with no effect. We noticed when we did printer app memory clear, the colours and contrast reappeared. We check this by using the printer test page, because it seems if we do the ACC after this, the problem reoccurs. As long as you do not do ACC the problem stays away, but this isn't really a fix.
                                  1. Has anyone else had similar issues? Like I've said we've had this on about 5 machines out of 100 in the field.
                                  2. Is that SP5801-008 for the Memory Clear Printer Application?

                                  1. We have had the same issue, it only affects 600dpi. Print in 1200 dpi and it looks great. Never found a true fix for the issue.
                                  2. We just ran across the same problem as well. Did a printer application clear and everything looks good again. If you do ACC again the colors look bad again until you do a printer application clear again.

                                  3. Any further resolutions to this? Have the exact problem on a 4502. I will go back and try the printer memory clear in the next few days. Thanks in advance!



                                    I've had this same issue with a 6502, and the fix is the same as mentioned, do a printer app clear. On my machine it occurs across all resolutions .
