Ricoh Aficio MP C3000 - Network / Printing Problems

    Hello Copytech Forum,

I recently got a Ricoh Aficio C3000 which was connected to a Feiry E3000 Color Controller. The Color Controller is dead , fried on electrical power surge .
We followed the installation guide of the E3000 and disconneted all parts from the Ricoh Aficio C3000, but still have the Problem that we cant Print via Network or USB directly to the Printer.

We can access the Printer via Telnet but can't see the Webinterface via IP. We also tried some solutions provided here in the Forum for example : set http up , checked in Service Mode that
interfaces are enabled etc but still get "404 error" while connecting via webpage. Further the printer dont connect via USB Port ( when we plug in Cable no devices are found )

Sorry for my poor English .

    with best regards
    Sven from Germany

insurance matter if power failure occurred; but it's an old machine...
    Probably new controller needed?

Re: Ricoh Aficio MP C3000 - Network / Printing Problems

We dont want to use the controller anymore , but we would use the Printer directly . But the Connection Ports ( lan / usb ) dont work atm .
The Printer itself is booting up normally and showing the display , but we cannot access Webinterface of the Aficio c3000 itself . ;(

In Sp-Mode the 5xxx ( some number i cant remember atm ) for USB + Lan are set to 1 ( enabled )
and we can access the printer via telnet....

Maybe Firmware ? the Feiry Button is now also without any function ?

ive only set up fiery once, so forgive my ignorance on this, but i believe in the set up sequence there are some sp modes that turn off the nic on the copier so that the second nic works with fiery. i'm sure you will have to double-check those sp modes to renable. dont remember the sp modes tho, been too long ago.

          Hi there!
Try sp 5-193-001 = 0 sp 5-895-001 = 0.Have you removed the little pwb in the controller?
          Greetings...

Re: Ricoh Aficio MP C3000 - Network / Printing Problems

@Zeldaman : In Sp-Mode i dont have sp 5-193-001 = 0 and when i set sp 5-895-001 = 0 the internal Nic is dead and in the printer display the interface tab is gone....

pwb = you mean the connection card from the e3000 feiry or the raiser card in the printer itself ?
the connection card of the feiry is removed .

Thx for all the input ideas ... really want to keep using that printer

            regards

Any chance to reset the whole printer to default / factory ? the whole fiery stuff out of the system ?
Would a complete Firmware Flash Update help ? Not really familar with the Ricoh Aficio Printers...

Re: Ricoh Aficio MP C3000 - Network / Printing Problems

                5-985-001 nic - 1= enabled
                5-985-002 usb 1= enabled
with both of them enabled when you reboot and go into service mode do you see printer and scanner sp modes

also how much memory is installed

you should have 2 x 512 for stand alone print and scan option

Hmmm that could be the issue ... in the feiry manual was mentioned that you should remove one ram module ... which i couldnt find here anymore to plug back... do i need a special ram module or would any compable 512mb pc2100 work ? Will check sp codes tomorow if those 2 groups are back ...

thx for the ideas ! Will report tomorow !

you may be ok with memory as long as it is the correct type
usually matching pairs but i think you may be ok just adding another 512 pc2100 dimm

Read the e3000 install part and change everything back in reverse order
or just remove from the c slot the extension card and set SP5-985-001 to "1"

Thx , i read the Manual , but havent found the Ram Module . Will have a closer look
                        on that tomorrow . I guess i will find a compatible one . As far as i read a 512 mb pc2100 dimm .
Hope it will fix my Problem

Thx for all the input , will write tomorrow !

                        cheers

                            Hey Peeps,
Sorry for the Late Reaction , but it took a few days before I got a good Ram for the Ricoh Printer.
But Still it hasnt changed. But i found out a little more ....

Seems like the Firmware for the Printer and Scanner are not in the maschine ..... Also the Loading Programms in Self Diagnosis Report dont show Scanner / Printer.

                            I attached a Picture of the SD-Report.

Is there any chance to get these Programms back in the Printer ? Help would be really Appreciated ...

                            with best regards

If the print/scan SD card is missing, the programs are not going to show in the diagnostic report. There numerous websites that sell used equipment; parts, options and complete machines. Chech the Product Support Guide for the order code of the Printer/Scanner option and Google that.
