There is no Sd in the Printer . The Hdd is in the printer and marked as ok.
Is the printing scanning system the same as in a Ricoh c2800 ? We have a c2800 running perfectly.
can i clone copy the scanning printing software somehow ? Or can i use a regular sd card to get the
printer running again ? I mean if only software is the problem you surely can fix it somehow ...
is the printing/scanning software part of firmware or anyhow installable? The c3000 is end of life.
is that option installable on the hdd ? If i find someone with the same printer ?
No i have MP C2000 about 15 and half of them does not have any sd card and have the print/scan part
I don't have MP C3000 but today i have same situation with MP C2800 no print no scan and no scan to folders and my problems was the hdd after i disconected the hdd the printer go ready and i print the counter ( ps also the hdd was marked ok) and yes i loose all my registrations with the users from the scan counts. You can have a different situation because the fiery controller
? do you enabled the internal usb controller?
NIC sp 5985-001 ->1
USB sp 5985-002 ->1
I enabled Lan and Usb Port. I havent yet tried to unplug the hdd . Will do so tomorrow.
But strange is that when i enter sp mode i dont have printer / scanner options there . Only "copy sp"
on the c2800 when i enter sp mode i have : copy , printer and scan sp modes.
So i guess something screwed up with system software ... on the v2800 diagnostic page i see software mount points and software programms for printing and scanning etc ...
I also have the same situation with the bad hdd and temporary i formated it until i will put a new one.
I have a delay when i start the machine the printer and the scan function appear with almost 30 second delay.
Before i also don't see in the sp menu only the copy sp menu
Anywhay try to update all firmware, print out a smc report, save nvram and for last
reset the whole machine to factory if you don't have anything important on it.
There is nothing important on that maschine .
But i have no clue how to reset that thing to default ...
Will surely unplug the hdd or format it ? How ?
All i want is to print to that maschine via network ..
we still have 2 sets of toner lying here and it merely printed 300k pages.
Firmware update is an option but no one can suply the update . Asked a few printer mechanics
but they have no access to ricoh database . And the firmware here in forum is only fix for network smb access ? Wont reset whole machine i assume ..
The hdd...yes unplug it first and check if the machine start up and go to ready state.
If yes take the hdd out go to a pc and format it, or better format the HDD with SP5832-001.
And will see what next ....
Don't play with the clear settings but you can do this (don't clear all with 001).
5801-011 Initializes the system default and interface settings (IP address also),
SmartDeviceMonitor for
Admin, WebStatusMonitor settings, and the TELNET settings.
5801-003 SCS - -Clears the system settings.
5801-008 -Clears the printer application settings
5801-009 -Clears the scanner application settings.
In behind the front cover there is a cosmetic cover over the waste toner system. There are storage slots in that cover (you have to remove it, the slots are on the back, or 'inside' of the cover) to place SD cards. IF the unit HAD a print / scan SD card, AND the person who reconfigured for a Fiery controller did the correct thing, you MAY find an SD card there that needs to be placed on the controllers slot 1.
Looks like you need a Ricoh dealer to order you the correct SD card. No way around it AFAIK if you want the internal GW controller to be fully functional.
Ok , bad news then ... well lets see what we can do then .
If I find the same printer with sd card can i clone the printing scanning programm on the hdd of my printer ?
