[Error Code] Ricoh mp c3502 wont detect toner

Hey guys....Just upgraded firmware on a mp c3502 and right after it wouldnt detect Blk toner ..Said cant detect... any ideas ???

did the firmware upgrade go as planned? any errors?
what have you done to it since?
cleaned the sensors?
re-seated the toner?

Yes...Cleaned sensors , replaced toner several times....Just talked to someone that said there has been a bad firmware in the field ..supposedly this has happened quite a bit lately... getting new firmware overnighted...let you know...thanks for your response

did you load the greenline firmware? I have accidentally done that with exactly the same result

Hi there!
What is a "greenline-fw", is this for USA? Only thing i found was the bulletin RD1452024, but nothing with fw. Attention, this year we had 3 or 4 fw-upgrades for this model.

the engine fw has an option to choose Greenline (Ricoh "new" refurbished). I asked the same question when this happened to me.

We have had the exact thing happen, did the new firmware fix the issue?

Looks like what happened is you put in the "greenline" engine firmware, it's a special custom firmware for a line of refurbished machines Ricoh put out. When you search for firmware in RFG eSource, this firmware shows up with all the other ones so it's easy to accidentally download. Go back and check RFG and you should see another engine firmware in there. Load that one and the black toner should recognize again.
