    MP C3002 Super Bold Colors

Usually the opposite problem but this time i have a 3002 that is printing very very dark/bold. All of the colors, CMYK...

SP 5-836-121-124 are all set to default...it's print resolution is 150 dpi. SP 3-043 are all default, 3-044 is default...

I keep through countless SC tables to try to get this machine to stop printing so bold...for some reason i can't find the adjustment. Is it a toner density, dv density?? I would really like to avoid replacing all 4 pcu's or development units...I don't think that would fix it anyways if the machine is loading toner like crazy anways. Using OEM everything...any ideas? Thanks

I'll take: Things ricoh users never say. For $200, Alex.

OK OK, What if any is the difference between prints and copies? Where are your counts for your consumables? Drum, dv, charge roller...etc.

Both internal prints and prints from the computer.
The copies are about the same if anything though i would say they are even bolder...which is also usually opposite

COUNTERS: Everything is the original units that were installed by the manufactuer
So everything with "K" as well as fuser unit, transfer unit, etc...is 52K
everything with "CMY" (drum, dev, etc.)...is 28K

Hope this is what you were looking for

Have you tried the usual ways of getting the machine to check itself over, i.e. line position adjustment, process control and ACC? If the ACC test pattern after is a bit weird it needs a new BCU Nvram.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

          Hit it.

You might check the density settings in user tools.

Yes did all the ACC, Line Position, MUSIC, and toner density in user tools...really the BCU NVRAM??

Run a non-default data smc and check for anything weird. That might narrow your search for a solution to the problem. Is this a new account, or have you had the machine for a while and it just started doing it?
