Hello,
I already have lubricated the contact moving parts on rear- en front side (covers) and also the discharge plates.
But it keeps on squeaking, only in color.

Both the MPC2050 and 2051 are noisy when printing in 1200dpi as the engine runs at a different speed (slower) than at 600dpi.

The noise is normally related to the fusing unit, but I must admit that there have been other noises that we have had different levels of success in locating/eliminating.

Does it run quietly with normal prints?

Yes the drums squeak on all this series, very annoying for the customer, I've not found a cure other than to fit a new PCU!

There is a Tech Bulletin that addresses squeaks from the PCDU. New Drums DO NOT come with the new style compression springs mentioned in the Bulletin so any MP C2050/C2051 series machine is susceptible to Drum noise.

I opened the yellow pcu and:
- the cleaning blade is filled with toner, so I don't think that will be the cause.
- but the lubricant bar is almost gone...
So, I think the pressure of this lub. bar onto the drum is to weak (or to little) to be efficient => noise.
The lub.bar of the c2500, 2800, 3002 series are much thicker than this serie, that is why they never make such noise.
=> replace the lub.bar seems to be the solution, BUT it's not a spare part.
=> replacing the whole unit seems the only way out.

I've had several C2050/C2051 where putting the new springs in fixed the noise. You may have to replace the drum but put the springs into the new one as well.

i have replaced the lubricant bars of all color pcu's with the new springs.
No good.

As I said earlier in this thead the best way is to simply replace the PCU & fit the mod springs while you're at it. Or as I do simply explain to the user due to the age of the machine they will have to expect a few minor issues!

I'm not experimenting with this issue anyome, you should not. You must replace all pcu's.
