    MP C4500 hdd?

    I have a customer (church) that just got 2 Ricoh copiers donated to them. MP C4500 & Lanier 445C (Think this is same as 4500?). Machines were at a bank and had the hdd's removed. The C4500 also has 2 sticks of Ram taped to machine and red screen of death with SC672 code. I'm assuming the code is because of Ram or hdd being removed? Service manual is not clear on this.

    The lanier passed a copy but has a message down in left hand corner of display, something about hdd.

    How should I proceed to get these working? I see some used hdd's online that have been pulled from working machines. Looks like there are 2 hdd's piggybacked required per machine? They come with both drives, mounting hardware & harnesses for $99

      Just make sure the drives ae exactly the same make, model and capacity, 80GB or less. They should work fine.
      It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

          The machine needs first installed dual IDE hdd (B2235090). After that, I would format the hard drive over sp and then the address book.

              Thanks for the replies. Any reason 2 sticks of Ram would be taped to machine? Does the ram have to be removed when removing the hdd or does the ram on this model retain information and original ones had to be removed along with hdd??

                  The memory remains in the machine, as it was ordered and configured for the customer. But 1024 mb ram is required.
