This machine has 350k on counter and till now have damaged two fusing belts. First time at 55k and second time on 200k. Both times was thesame, damage hapens on front side of belt. Both times we instaled new OEM parts, and machine is serviced frequently. However, it works in heawy duty condicions (8k per week). We made temperature corections acording to RTB and still thesame. Anyone had similar problem?

...and still don't expect it to run much over 300k. I got really lucky and had one go to 420, but the average is half what the PM schedule says. I consider the fuser a 300k pm on my machines.
Got one running 75-150k/month mostly b/w but it's all the same to the fuser. Runs great until it munches the rubber off the hot roller - mine usually peels in the center, so you might want to check if the nip band is even.73 DE W5SSJComment

I've got one that runs rough on the fusers also. It doesn't help that it's practically in a closet the size of the machine with zero ventilation and they run all kinds of wacky stock through it. I don't expect it to hit the yields. Just start carrying one in your car stock.the savin2535 is displaying well bet the hiter lamp is not shining and the lamp had been tested o.k.please kindly help.Samir: No, not again. I also have one that's used 2 belts before PM. The customer runs mostly thick paper (so fuser temp is higher) for business cards and stuff. Also i think the customers man handles the machine, but how do you proof that?
Also had a SC142 = Blown lamp regulator
and sc672 = Hard drive broken,
all in one week on the same machine.Comment

As suggested update to the latest firmware version. Ricoh has a number of technical service bulletins that address this problem. Energy Save Mode is very important on this machine; your settings should basically take it into Energy Saver Mode after 15 minutes....warm up time will be several minutes if a user them comes along, but this protects the Fuser Unit should it sit idle at full Fuser temp for any priod of time. If this machine sits idle without dropping the Fuser temp you are gauranteed to burn out the Fuser Unit; the latest firmware addresses some of the Fuser setting issues, as do Technical Service Bulletins 24, 43 and 51.Comment

What is the damage to the fusing belt ? Mostly I see the roller blow up and rip up the belt. I have also seen a line dug in the belt from a sep claw.Comment

Most important change the oill roller and clean or change the metal cleaning roller. Also dont forget the press roller cleaning felt roller. Both very easy to change. Some units have been left for 600k and the fusing unit has been fine others need these parts changeed/cleaning at 150k.
