    [Dead] mp4000 firmware Required

    Hello Everyone!
I've Ricoh mp4000 with error code 819 and I can't enter sp mode.
Tried another controller and it worked, but to buy anew one in Egypt costs alot...
I've read an article that updating firmware may solve the problem..
    Is that true?
If you have please support me with it,
Sorry for my bad English :-)

The error may prevent you from loading firmware. When you tried another controller, did you swap the NVram? If you did then the controller board might be toast. If you did not then it could be the NVRam but I doubt it. What happened just prior to getting the error. If the machine had JAVA installed and the SD card was removed without first stopping JAVA in user tools, then turned back on without the JAVA card, both the JAVA SD card and the controller board ARE toast. Your cheapest option might be purchasing a complete used "parts" machine. Most sellers only guarantee that the machine will boot up without error.

The error came after resetting sc220 code :-)
It seems that the controller Doesn't response :-)
Replaced with another one which has counter "1,000,000 copies"
