    That really sounds like drum ground, which was a big problem on some of the earlier machines for a while.

      Just to let you know the latest from RJ on this issue, the final solution that was supposed to be released at the end of September, that then got pushed out to the end of October, has now been pushed out again but with no ETA as the testing has not proved successful for the proposed mods. Joy.

        Thanks for that, I think nothing short of going back to the drawing board will solve this problem.
        I replaced the Dev unit and Dev(again) this morning and straight off could see there was an element of background. Although it seemed to have solved the problem of it being darker down one end....I'm not holding my breath though....
