I have heard of people wrapping a round of electrical tape around the barrel roller that drives the feed belt. I have not tried it. I think there is a bulletin with a slightly larger diameter barrel roller but I don't think part is available yet. Same old same old...
Has anyone else been dealing with these feeders and the weak feed units they employ? Feeds initially then original stops just after the sep roller.

Seen this a hundred times. Had Ricoh engineer out to check what could be causing it, but even they couldn't figure it out. In the end, we replaced the complete feed assembly: D684-2100, and the problem was cured instantly.
Note: The part has since been modified, but the old part number is still being used. If you order the assembly, and get two white rollers inside the belt, that is the new assembly; the older assembly has either both black rollers (03 range) or one black and one white (04 range).
Both 03 and 04 have the same DF fault, so both will need new assemblies.
