    MP 305 J065/duplex jam

    Hi folks,

Posting on behalf of another tech.

Problem comes & goes...firmware updated, cleaned rollers, etc, added a wind on the reg sensor arm spring, & then replaced said sensor; cut off tiewrap & electrical-taped suspicious areas of harnesses.

Ricoh Tech Support says to replace harness next, it took about six weeks (SIX!) to get the sensor in, who knows how long it will take to get a harness.

It's the only one we have of that model and aren't about to order another for troubleshooting, so no way to swap out components for testing.

Customer is fed up, we have a loaner MP 301 installed.

Any help or suggestions gratefully re
    ceived.
Nothing works quite so well that I can't totally disable it by trying to make it a little better.

AX201013 in main drive, seen this a couple of times on machines with low copy count.
    Good luck

When you say "Problem comes & goes" how often does it jam? these models are prone to jamming especially duplex, have you tried the customer on good quality paper? they run a lot better on 90/100GSM

I have cleaned this clutch and solved the problem. I dismount it, clean it and it has worked very well.

Replace the fuser unit when it wears it can cause duplex Jams especially if its done over 100k

I have about 30 of these in one building, a hospital, and have 3 or 4 with same exact issue, typically can't duplicate problem but today I did see it, checked all sensors, OK, checked paper path, OK, only has 10 K on it, the others have even less, can't believe a clutch is dirty or a fuser is worn yet ?!

Wow ! that's ridiculous for the clutch to look like that at such a low copy count ! Thanks for the info I will definitely get one in my carstock.

Ordered both AX20-1013 reverse clutch and AX20-1022 duplex clutch. Should both take care of the J065 duplex jams or is it just 1 of these clutches that will fix it, thanks. I seen the picture of the dirty clutch was it the reverse or duplex clutch. Both clutches look clean on the outside havent opened them up yet.
