    mpc 2800 firmware failure

    Hi all
    I have a mpc2800 which in the middle of a remote firmware update the power was lost to the office,. I have turned back on the machine and it just ststes waiting on firmware up date for ip address 192....
    Is there anyway of recovering this or do i need to replace boards nvram etc.
    i do have an nvram in stock in the office but how do i get this to work???

      I have recovered remote firmware failures with SD card firmware. May depend on which module failed to load. Sometimes recovery can seem to take a long time, so be patient.

          I have been told that you can get a recovery SD card from tech support. It alows the MFP to boot from the SD card so you can restart update.

                      If I recall correctly the recovery SD was only available for certain products. I have heard no mention of them recently. I have, as already mentioned, been able to resume interrupted updates via regular firmware loaded on a regular SD card. I would at least give that a shot first.

                          Try just updating the engine & system firmware individually via SD card

                              Thanks all
                              managed to get the issue sorted. Turned out the machine wasnt reading either of my two memory cards, bought a new new one and with engine firmware machine updated successfully.
