MPC306/307 Double feeding

Hi Fellow Tech,

Any one had double feeding on an MPC306/307?

Feed Roller, Friction pad + spring replaced.

I going for the feed clutch next. Any other suggestions ?

I would imagine a faulty/slipping paper feed clutch could cause a multi-feed (one after another) rather than a double-feed (sheets on top of each other).

There is the tray lift motor pressure setting. SP1907-029
The lifting plate could be applying a little to much upward force against the the bottom of the roller.

On similar models in the past I have also swapped over the white friction sep pad for the older brown or black cork types as they seem to have better grip.

Right, I have replaced the feed clutch with no luck.

If you ask for 10 copys/prints the device will print 11/12 sheets with 0ne or two blank pages but you will get the 10 you have asked for. Its as if its adding extra pages.

I'm thinking firmware!!?

Any more ideas out there?

Never had any double feed issues on these.

1. Check liftplate, seen these bend, as they are butter soft. Check cassette in general.

2. Bad paper quality.

3. Try stretching the separate spring a bit.

I had the exact same issue on a 305, replaced all the same parts as you, no luck.
Went back with a new paper tray & updated FW never came back.
