    MP4001 ADF Jamming in inverter

    ^^^^ video of what it's doing.^^^^

    J004 misfeed

I checked the one way bearings in the doc feed. New feed belt but I dont think that has anything to do with it. I checked to see if there were any cracked gears and couldn't find any. It is only jamming when copying duplex. It is a notoriously dusty/dirty machine.... not sure if that is pertinent info? any help would be very appreciated.

Where is the paper inside the adf when it jams? is that blue guide broken?

It's right in between the exit rollers, I did not notice if the blue guide was broken but it didnt appear to be. That is, it lifts and closes during jam removal without feeling wonky and visually I know the pegs that go into the front and back frame arent busted. According to a phone call from my end user, it is now jamming regardless of simplex or duplex.

Your video is nice but doesn't tell us anything. You would have been better to have posted the jam code.

Clean all of the sensors. Also, remove the rear cover and check the end of the exit roller. there is a gear back there that i have replaced before for the same issue.

Lead edge of the original is catching on something in the reverse path from the exit roller to the skew correction roller. After it jams, you need to check where the lead edge has stopped. Also check the ribs on any plastic guides for burrs.

I have coated all the sensors and checked the guides for obstruction. I will double check the gear! Thanks!
