What is the SMTP server set to?

Some more information would help.

Has it been working but then ok but recently failed?

Can you log into the gmail account from a web browser?

I config mp 4002 success.
But unsuccess with mp 6001.
My gmail account work normally.
i buy old machine mp6001.

I dont think the old MPC6001 supports SSL so cant use gmail.

my mp 6001 has 1 SD card to start.
is it missing some SD card to scan email???
I see mp 7500 has 2 SD card.

No you dont need any SD cards in order to scan.

Scan/Print is not standard on those machines, so yes he would need a card. Unless you are trying to say he shouldn't need an *additional* SD card.

Gmail requires encryption which is not supported on MP6001.

SMTP over SSL is not supported on the MP 6001. There is no firmware update as it is the processor that does not support it. You have to use a port 25 option. If you are a registered G Suite user you can use the G Suite Relay. Otherwise you will have to use the Restricted Gmail SMTP server. Thank you so much for posting! I have been searching high and low for a solution to my MFP Scan to Email on Konica Minolta machine.... all along it was because my machine doesn't have the capability of using the new SSL fixed by using the Restricted Gmail SMTP server
