Mpc4502 fax install trouble

Brand new fax kit installed and machine hangs at Please Wait. If we remove it then machine boots just fine.

any ideas?

I cant remember if a '02 fax had a separate MBU board piggybacked on the FCU as they used to cause trouble if it wasn't seated firmly. Also check that the battery jumper is set to ON.

have you activated battery?

check also contact are ok.

Does anyone know which jumper works for the battery it says nothing about that on install guide

If jumper is set and connectors are all securely seated, FCU is the likely culprit. Unusual but not unheard of.

Its the jumper next to the batteries. If you look close you can see an off and on on the pcb
