    Pulse/tone dial

    Good afternoon!

Could someone please enlighten me on how to select pulse dialing or tone dialing in Ricoh mfp with fax option, for troubleshooting? I can't find it anywhere, and it's driving me crazy...

    Cheers!

Thank you. On this specific case, it's on a mp171, so I'll check it ASAP and give you some feedback.

      Thanks!

No dice. I've already had been looking everywhere before and now double checked where you said and there's no such thing. Even on fax sp there are several settings that mention pulse duslibg, but no option whatsoever to select between pulse and tone.

It is User Tools - Fax Function - Administrator Tools.
            Select Dial/Push Phone
Use this function to select a line type.
Dial and Push lines are available for selection.
This function is not available in some areas.
            1. Select [Fax Features] using [] or [], and then press the [OK] key.
            2. Select [Administrator Tools] using [] or [], and then press the [OK] key.
            3. Select [Select Dial/Push Phone] using [] or [], and then press the [OK] key.
            4. Select [Push Phone] or [Dial Phone (10PPS)] using [] or [], and then press the [OK] key.
            5. Press the [User Tools/Counter] key.

The reason I didn't was because I really thought (naive, perhaps) that it would be (at least approximately) the same for most MFPs.

That probably is it. I need to try it by choosing some other options on the Area selection!

Will do it sometime next year - thank you very much! Will keep you posted!
