Sure...with proper F/W update - same is true for any MP series, or just setup FTP (no F/W update necessary)

Not that I have access to the updates myself, I just know it to be true.
I know some of the oldest MP series required a "custom" network F/W rather than just the routine update, which may be the case here, so it may be in a different location on the website

You also need to have the network interface settings on the C2050 correct.
          1. Use target computer netbios name not IP address. Netbios resolution must be enabled.
          2. If it is on a domain, the domain name must be exactly correct and the first DNS server must be the domain DNS, usually the server.
          3. If it is on a domain, the workgroup name must be correct and all computers must also be the same on all computers. The first DNS needs to be a local DNS such as a router.

This is what I have done with all my school installations and have only had a problem when one of the above was not correct. Normally a spelling error on either the domain name of workgroup name.

The problem with FTP is getting customer permission to install the FTP software, which they will then expect you to support for life.

Bonus points for having customer that are totally network and computer illiterate that seemingly have no IT department.

And they don't expect you to support the C2050 for life?
