    Ricoh 4100 Internal Jam Error

    Good evening
I have a Ricoh SP4100 NL which reports the next error
Remove internal jam path / Open
    Front cover
Inside, however, there is no jam
Removed sensor, clean, but the problem persists.
    Can you help me?
I can print only from the bypass and not from the drawer 1.
    Tray 1 has nothing broken.
Is there any way to reset this error?
It signals jamming when print from tray1.

Under normal conditions the printer does not report jams

    Thank you

Re: Ricoh 4100 Internal Jam Error

Internal jam can be anywhere that the paper cannot be seen without opening something. Opening the front cover and, on some models, removing the imaging unit will reveal anything between the registration roller and the fusing entrance. Since the bypass works, the jam is between the paper tray and the registration roller, pull out the paper tray and check for a sheet of paper fed out about 1 inch or with a smudge where the feed roller has turned against the paper but not fed it out, dirty or bad feed roller.

When printing from tray 1, where does the paper stop at? Just curious, as there's a tiny chance the rollers that feed paper out of tray 1 are worn out, or you've got some bad paper.

The paper on tray 1 does not even start, the rollers are ok, I changed the clutch but the problem persists.
          What can it be?
If there is no sheet of paper in the tray 1 from a jam. But the card is not there
If I turn the paper take-up roller by hand it moves all the part of the clutch so it's not a mechanical problem

Take the toner out and put the machine on it's back. Take the feed roller out. On the green push handle a little tab breaks off that moves the shaft away so you can change the roller. If this little tab is broken, the feed shaft isn't pushed back into position to drive the roller. Also, there are two sensor actuators that can break or come off. Check those. Is it also detecting the correct paper size?
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

            Hit it.
