    Problem copies with 1224c

Hello to all. They are Italian and I quickly ask excuse all for my English.
I have a 1224C that being copy documents produces half clear half normal.
If print the counter the density of the image is homogenous in all the sheet.
I deduce that the problem is relative to the scanner but I have tried to clean up the mirrors of the scanner but nothing is not changed.
I plan to replace the lamp exposure, what you think?
I hope you answer to me.
    Thanks.
    Hello.

    two suggestions,
one try writing in two languages may be some of us (like me) understand both Italian and english and you can express your self better.
two is the fault lack of colour in part of the copy/print? if this is the case then look at the timing of the dev units while copying /printing from the left side (dev unit cove). in my experience it was a faulty black drive clutch.

The problem occurs only with copies and not with prints so I think that the problem should not be the clutch of black development. Moreover, the problem occurs with other colors.

can you describe the problem again, this time in italian and give as much details as possible. it would be a good idea if you could add a scan of your resulting copy. Sorry but my written Italian is not very good.

well this is a totally different story and i agree with you about the scanner. on 2 of these machines i had to replace the lense unit due to problems with copy quality but i must say that the result was much worse then this. i had various shades of colors with different results on each copy i made. if your symptom is constant i would then look at the exposure lamp itself. check the copy count against the lamps yield. See if you can shift the lamp forward from one side to see if it makes a difernce like when we could shift the shades on B/w machines. never had this fault but will have a closer look on the first occasion i have this machine for service.

This fault could probably be down to the ccd, check your error log to see if you get sc 144(i think its that). If you do have that sc code , you need to replace the ccd, these machines have had a lot of ccd issues , you can tell if its a new updated ccd if there is a white spot on the top of it. This may not be your problem, but scanner related issues can either be the ccd, the mirrors being dirty or the white refective plate is dirty.

                  Hope this helps.

CCD failure causes yellowish background, SC101 and/or SC144

Today I have replaced the lamp exposure, I have cleaned the mirrors and the white refective plate but the problem is still here. It remains only ccd???

Oggi ho sostituito la lampada di esposizione, pulito gli specchi e la pistra bianca di riferimento ma il problema è ancora presente. Rimane solo il ccd???
