    Savin 9965DP Toner Light-Adding Toner,Disables Machine

I have a Savin 9965DP in the field and the toner light comes on and says its adding toner,it is adding toner but its not sensing it and disables machine. I replaced the toner density sensor and it is still thinking it needs toner.I did a memory all clear and got it to do 35 copies and the toner light came on again. Before I go after boards, which brings up another question is there a board just for the toner sensors or is in the main board? The main board was replaced because it was fried.Should have the toner sensor board been replaced as well? I dont have many maintenence records on this machine, all of this was before my time. I thank you for any help on this.

OK. Is the bell at the front of the developer assy where the toner dumps into full?

If not you need to manually fill it because that toner sensor is a pressure sensor and feels when it is full. Otherwise it will keep giving you a low signal.

The other tech manually filled it and said it was fixed, but it emptied again,he or she didnt fix the problem.Im thinking its the toner bottle assmbly.I put a new sensor and did the pressure test with my finger. The sensor works but it is empty when the toner light is on.Soo it works. Have you ever had this prob.?? Does this thing get flakey after 800k copies? Not dropping toner? Thanks.

What are your values for vsg and vsp? Have you made sure that the ID sensor is clean? Were the copies that you made lite, normal or dark? Have you checked to see if the toner is actually dispensing from the bottle into the dev. ass.?

open front door and cheat interlocks, use output check to verify bottle rotates. usually this is either the gear that turns the bottle is worn or the supply shutter has not been positioned correctly. another cause is the bottle chuck is not gripping the bung in the bottle to remove it.
