MPC6000 with c569 error code and a swishing noise

Got call saturday from customer with MPC6000 with an error sc569 and a noise. I listened over phone and it sounded
like a swishing sound as though something with something loose. It made me think of a torn cleaning web. Read about
fuser pressure release motor issue and or home position sensor issue. I am thinking torn web or paper in unit causing swishing sound.

Any help is appreciated very much asI will be going there in morning. I have a used fuser unit I cn take with me if I need something
from it. The fuser in machine is only a year old. Frank

From the service manual: SC569 Pressure roller lift motor not operating correctly. (No signal to indicate completion of operation.)

The swishing noise makes me think it might have something to do with the sensor, sensor or mount bad, cable broken or disconnected. I had a pressure roller lift motor error on a C6501 once. The cause was a small scrap of paper in the main frame side of the drawer connector. It was just large enough to cover 1 contact position. I had to use my flash light to see the difference between and the metal contacts.

thanks Slimslob. I was wrong about sound as probably did not hear proper over phone. The pressure roller lift motor needs
replacement. Was not turning pressure release shaft. I took apart and cleaned out lots of particles and reinstalled. It worked
for half hour and came back and I have ordered it. Frank
