[Error Code] Ricoh Aficio MPC400SR SC995-02

Hi guys, i bough this reburfished machine and it was working fine for a while, however one day after turning it on i get the SC995-02 error code.

I'm not expert of this but after researching for a while in Google, sound like the NVRAM is broken and needs replacement.

My questions are: How could this happen? Is it still possible to buy the NMRAM to replace it, if so, where? Any begginers guide in how to do it? I really need to make this machine work.

    Thanks for the help.

Tried that, they need to send someone, I live across the country and that would be really expensive.

This, as shown, could be a number of things, and whatever the case, is also not a 2 line explanation to resolve.
You need a technician or a new machine. Period.

Did you do a memory all clear or did it just come up with that error code out of the blue?

Where is it that you live? If you are not an authorized Ricoh technician or are an end user, you cannot access the portion of Ricoh's service web site where firmware is downloaded from.

You can try calling the Ricoh direct support number and ask if they can send it to you. Most likely they want to send a tech out from the closest servicing branch or dealer and it will be a charge.

sounds like you are way over your head on this, which is ok but like others stated here it is not like changing a bulb...
that is why some of here learned to repairs machines by putting in over 20,30,or even 40years repairing these machine even as they changed models...
