The machine is erroring out when trying to scan more than thirteen or so pages. Looked in settings through panel and web interface. Couldnt find anything that would work. Tried changing file types as well. Any suggestions? Thank you

User Tools - Scanner Features. Default is rather small. Back when most people were using dial up internet the limit was 3 to 5 MB for attachment on most email providers.Comment

Re: Ricoh aficio mp5500 scan to email error
Most email providers (Yahoo/Gmail/etc.) have their email size "throttled" at 10 Meg. Also something to look for is to turn OFF "Divided" email...especially when using Gmail. Gmail doesn't like getting hit with 3-4 send requests just to break up a larger file.Comment

If you need to send large file the thing to do is scan them to folder then either use an app such as Dropbox to load them to the cloud and email the link or use gmail.Comment

Re: Ricoh aficio mp5500 scan to email error
Is it something like "insufficient memory at destination......"?
There was a thread posted not long ago about this. I'm not sure if it was updated with a solution.
Coincidentally, I had the very same issue myself last week: 2 machines side by side (C4502 and MP2852), configured identically, but only one was erroring out.
My fix was to do a memory clear on the scanner application and reboot.
When I did that that, scanner journal printed out, and all was good again.
I put all the scanner settings back the way they were, and they haven't had another issue.
I'm not sure what the scanner journal was set to beforehand. I usually have it set to "do not print/ Delete Oldest", but it seemed like whatever it was, it somehow bunged up the scannerComment
