I only service a couple of these machines so I am not real familiar with there quirks . I have a 5001 that won't auto feed paper through ADF. If you choose a cassette it works fine. So it's got to be a size detection sensor on the ADF or some adjustment I'm not aware of. thanks

Re: Ricoh MP5001 ADF stops
Is this like the older machines that had document size sensors in the DF entrance? If so, it might not hurt to clean those sensors, or at least make sure they are operating properly.
Weirdest thing that, at least on the older machines with document size sensors in the ADF entrance tray, if those sensors got coated with enough dust, the sensors would falsely detect that the original documents were larger than they actually were.
I haven't seen machines for a couple of years though, so I'm probably wrong. Sorry about that.Comment

Re: Ricoh MP5001 ADF stops
Let me be a little more specific as to my first reply. They ADF is where you feed in your originals. By choose a cassette I am assuming that you are talking about choosing one of the paper trays. The ADF handles originals. The cassettes/paper trays do not. They handle the paper you copy/print on. So dustzona, WTF are you talking about?Comment
