Ricoh MP C2050 Label paper doesn't always exit

Having to print color labels for a customer and the Label paper doesn't always exit. It is fused but doesn't exit. Occasionally it will exit ok
Tried Special Paper and Thick Paper but it doesn't seem to help.

Are the labels designed to go through a laser copier
if they are inkjet labels they may jam in the fuser area
you are trying to put them through a plain paper copier
you will sometimes have issues the heat in the fuser unit may cause an edge of the label to separate causing a jam
is the surface plain or coated again this can cause problems
are you using them from tray 1 or 2 they should always be fed from the bypass tray

The labels are Avery 5520 Weatherproof address labels. It says laser on the box. Tried various settings on the bypass. Sometimes it will print 2 sometimes 1. Found a lock lever down on the fuser but that didn't fix it.. We've had trouble with labels before. I have an Okidata color that will print them but they don't look quite right. This Ricoh is always great. Got to order some toner for our Lexmark Color copier.

We have a church customer that runs a sideline business printing labels on their Kyocera 2535 and it does Ok but we need color here.

        Thanks

This is not a new machine things may be worn
What meter count is your machine
when was the Fuser unit last serviced
as the machine gets older the fuser belt and roller will wear
as the labels are waterproof they are coated
it could be possible they are slipping when passing through the fuser
cleaning the exit rollers the labels may be slipping on them
serviceing the fuser and replacing the belt may improve things

This is only an office machine not designed for print shop environments
they are good at basic tasks but may not perform well with different materials

we normally use this Ricoh for office use but just happened to run out of toner on the Lexmark color and discovered it won't be in until wednesday. We were just trying to get it done ahead of time. We don't do a lot of printshop here.

            Thanks for your input

When moisture is in the paper - wether it is paper, labels, tranparances,... - it will jam.
              Moisture is the issue.

You talk about labels specifically. Have you tested it with regular paper to check results?
I think the results will be the same, and doubt that it's only a label printing issue. It sounds to me like a bypass paper size/ orientation setting issue

Regardless of who the labels were made by or whether they are laser or inkjet labels, once the moisture resistant inner wrapper has been opened the labels have a limited shelf life. The adhesive starts to dry out and the edges start to separate.
