    mp201 and scan to folder

    i have mp201 , for setting scan to folder and windows 7 i need update firmware?

    Most likely yes, but search this site theres loads on info on this topic.

    Also check that SMB 1 is enabled in Windows programs & features.

      I don't believe you will need a FW update for Windows 7. Windows 10 will require a NCS (network) firmware update.

      Be sure to check any anti virus, especially Norton, some are tricky to get around.

        Check the firewall logs for your security suite. Look for an event on the day and at the time of the first scan attempt. If no one was at the computer to allow the scanned document, the software will automatic generate a rule blocking it and all future scans. You will need to change that rule.

        I have also seen it happen to IP printing using McAfee.

          Also, first try scanning, then go to User Tools > System Settings > Interface Settings > Print I/F Settings List.

          The last page will show you any network errors that have occurred.
