Then you did not put it in batch mode before you did anything else. It should not start until you hit the #. If your sales staff cannot figure it out, they need to contact Ricoh Sales Support. In fact your sales manager should have done so before ever selling the machine. Prevents unsatisfied customers.

you need to have set indiviual trays as cover and slip trays before it will do what you need the option to do so is in the user tools but the person that demonstrated it should have shown you that.

We have an ROI and I have NO choices in the print driver.

I guess our IT department are going to have to work with Ricoh to fix this.

Yes, batch does not allow a change of paper trays.

Methinks you need to call the company and have your salesman return and walk you through the steps to do what you are wanting to do. It IS possible he has no clue about programming the type of job you need, so ask them to send someone that actually knows something about this machines operation. Cover and slip sheets are possible, although a finished job with various paper sizes may be a bit of a challenge. Don't let a salesman take your money and run and leave a tech to clean up his mess.

The term that Ricoh uses is Batch.

Job build is just called other things on Ricoh boxes.

The sections I think you are needing are:

    Covers
    Designate
    Chapters
    Slip Sheet

    Chapter contents - - Copy/ Document Server

These are also available in the print driver advanced.

Thanks, Mark, at least you made me laugh about this horrible situation. I think I am going to miss that Sharp that was replaced...but seriously? Or are you shinin' me on?

Thats where the IT comes in...
That is an issue only for highly trained IT'ers!
It needs to be programmed in your computer application program itself...
    That's no issue for pussy's...
