Ricoh MP C3504ex printing with too much magenta

Please ignore my previous same post as the title ended in the word print and cannot be replied to

Have a brand new MP C3504ex that was just installed and is having what looks too much magenta in all prints even gray scale. Have heard this is an issue but do not know the resolution. Can anyone direct as to the remedy? Could it be the driver? Ricoh does not seem to know the exact answer.

most times it can be due to a dev unit... was the move rough? Could have jiggled things loose.

I would pull all drums/belt ect and check dev unit to see if there is a build up of toner on the dev. don't remember which SP but you can check bias charges to see if there is an electrical imbalance

Firstly rule out it being the driver by doing internal prints, what does this one look like?

Run printer SP1-103-2 & can you post this on here?

Most likely it will have resolved itself if cusomer has still been using it.

Re: Ricoh MP C3504ex printing with too much magenta

I did follow your advice and found that the driver was incorrect!

              Here is what happened:

I installed the machine, loaded the address book from the previous machine. For the Printer Driver, when I was on the phone with the IT tech (since it is a server-based network) I was walking him through where to get the printer driver on the Ricoh website, and what he downloaded was the Color Controller E-23C driver insteadof the MP C3504ex Driver. I could not see what he wasdoing since he was operating remotely, I did tell him to download the MPC3504ex Driver but he probably did not notice the different drivers. The ColorController Driver if for a high-end Fiery Controller Option.
              (
The two drivers are right on top of each other. Not a great design and it led to many hours of our Color Tech trying to figure out the issue. (I am the Account Sales Rep for this account.))

I downloaded the correct driveron a local PC and the document printed correctly.

              Thanks again for the advice!
