    [Misc] SR880

Punch will punch minimum of 2 times on paper once in middle & once where it's suppose to. This is the first time I experienced it happening. I cleaned & reseated all connections on the finisher PCB. Air cleaned sensor before punch. I also experienced #'s 25 & 27 misdeeds prior to the malfunctioning punch. Twice SC729 came up. How is it determined if it's the punch motor or sensor??? Where is the sensor in question located??? On motor or elsewhere??? If elsewhere where??? Don't have manual for finisher. Thanks!!!

I would suggest that you remove the paper punch unit and clean all the old petrified lubricant lubricant from the individual punches. they should move freely.
