looking for information on correct firmware

    hi
I am about to update 4 mpc3502s to resell I want to make sure I dont load the
"Ricoh refurb FW",I know its called "greenline series" or something like that.
I think this is the correct engine or system fw"D1425116N.fwu" and NOT THIS one
    D1425116N_42CS13466.fwu..
Is there something to look out for in case you load both on the sd card or you just dont load it?
    thanks

    Hello
You are correct - the firmware with the suffix _42CS13466.fwu is for the Greenline series only. Best practice would be to print out SP5990-005 (Diagnostic Page) and see what the current firmware is at.
Most people believe that if it ain'tbroke, don't fix it.

Engineers believe that if it ain't broke, it doesn't have enough features yet

If you're getting it from the Ricoh TSRC website, it states (in red print) if that specific firmware is for the Greenline series. I would just skip past that one when downloading.

FrohnB is correct..........just the engine firmware is different. If you load the green line engine firmware by accident the machine will not detect the black toner cartridge crum chip and displays a toner not set message.
All the other firmware is the same.

          hi
I dont have access to the mothership but a helpfull tech hooked me up and
I always worry about taking out a controller or BCU ..
Is the D142 FW the same for mpc3002 and mpc3502?
I did not see any D111 folder in my files so i am assuming they are the same.
          thanks

as i never seen a "greenline machine"
does Ricoh label it different or change the sn and such?..
As I get lease returns I never know where anything came from.

Just kidding. But most do have a logo on the front:
