    [Error Code] MPC3002 SC672-001

    Hello all,

I'm faced with an SC672 that wont clear, happens as soon as machine powers on after about 5 seconds.

Disconnected the fax & HDD, machine wont accept a firmware.

I have reseated all controller connections, still same.

    Any other suggestions?

Dont really want to order a controller on this old box.

Check the setting of SP5-875-001. If the setting is set to "1 (OFF)",
    change it to "0 (ON)"

Check the connection between the control panel and the controller.

If it comes back intermittently, reseat the other end of the USB.

Unfortunately its a permanent error, powered off/on multiple times.

HDD & fax removed same error.

If customer doesnt upgrade will return to base to work on.

Appreciate the advice as always. 🙂

You may need to replace the controller and the IPU as a set.

i had one that be find then throw code sometimes right away or day or two later. Turns out was the operation panel was bad. other things can be the usb cable that runs from board in back to the operation panel. my was the op assy.

I've had this code on two different machines a wide format MPCW2200 and a MPC3002. The Mpcw2200 was the controller board and the mpc3002 was the op panel. Not a big fan sc672-001 it will definitely give you nightmares.

                      I have also done this

a controller of the same model, the exchange, let me enter the damage machine, I delete errors update firmware and in which it was fine but now with corrupted controller, I also update firmware ... they are working very well, it is more, as they are I leave them like this or else, I can return the controllers where they are originally and goodbye problems

If it won't boot up without the hdd and fax board it almost always is the controller. Seen it too many times...
