When i use to sell 62cpm sharp anaologs there was a dealer who use to send out the
copier "skins",all to be redone to look new and he would buy brand new mechanical counters.
At the time i think one could zero out the counters in service mode.
So if you are buying used machines you need to know who you are dealing with...
I am lucky i inspect all units b4 paying for them,if a meter is wrong or panels broken etc i ask for a small $ adjustment.

I could not find one listed in the parts manual.

It's on page U030 Electrical 1 in the parts catalog. Since the 3d parts catalogs suck, I couldnt really tell where its at. Maybe below the IH coil power supply somewhere.

It's on page U030 Electrical 1 in the parts catalog. Since the 3d parts catalogs suck, I couldnt really tell where its at. Maybe below the IH coil power supply somewhere.

On the right rear cover of the duplex door there will be two small punch out panels. The counter sits behind that. Thats where they are on any machine that has that style duplex. For BW machines there will only be a single punch out. Many machines that don't have a counter by default will still have the panel.

I find it strange that high production equipment is sold with 400,000 / 500,000 copies.
Ricoh C651 / 751, Ricoh C5100, Ricoh MP9002 etc. Can this be true? How can I know if the
counters were reduced by some pirate? Is there any way to know?

Till now i haven't noticed any meter change to any used machines i ordered .
You can reset electrical counter twice . If you do it third time you will need an new nvram

You know for some people having something really fast is just the issue.

Had a MP6000 at a bank that had 80k clicks on it and nobody was connected to print to it or had a user code to use it because it was for management whom all resigned or moved to different departments so nobody could use it...flat spot on pressure roller was so bad you could hear it
