We're having trouble with a 2238C which is giving a bit faint copies. When we test is as a printer it's OK....
It is not that big a difference, but it's still noticeable for the customer.
The optics is clean, the lense/CCD unit is changed. The lamp is changed, and also the power supply to the lamp.
And.. does anybody know who's making the lamps for Ricoh? Just out of curiosity. I'm looking for detailed information about how the lamp in the 2238C works. Since there is no filament in it, and it's not working like a fluorescent/gas-discharge lamp. I was hoping that the homepage for the company could provide me with some details. (I'm a bit technophile

Kurabe is prited on the silicone wire to the lamp, and I see it's a Japanese company. But the homepage gives no info. Do they make the lamp or the cable...
