I have updated everything (Operating panel, network ecc).
Windows 10 support scan using SMBv2?
I have to scan on computers with windows 10 in workgroup not in the domain.
      Thanks for the info

The usual setback is the antivirus running on the computer. Or the antivirus controlling the firewall.

I trust that you have configured it correctly and viewed the system log.

Try the other methods, (browsing the shared folder from the device).

Configure using TCP/IP (I assume there is no DNS server)
        Aye! Cut the crap

I have disabled the antivirus and port 445 is managed by windows firewall and allows traffic.
Browsing the shared folder from the device does not work.
I used static ip and I tried using a crossover cable from pc to multifunction.

Do you have McAfee security software on the computer? The first time you scan to a computer with McAfee, a security alert will pop up and ask if you want to allow or block. If no one is at the computer, the alert will time out and block by default.

How about the network sharing properties? You said it is on a workgroup. If it is connected to a network, it will have different network profiles. (domain, public and work)

Maybe one of the settings there is preventing it from getting browsed or connected.

BTW, is it wired or wireless?

Re: Problem Scan to folder SMB v2

Start simple... Go into your Network adapter Properties, select the IPv4 protocol, click Properties>Advanced>WINS Tab, and change from the default setting "NetBIOS over DHCP" to "NetBIOS over TCP/IP".

Check all your "Inbound Rules" in Windows Firewall and make sure all instances of "File and Printer Sharing" and "Network Discovery" are set to "Allow", and THEN try your scan folder.

If you have ANY instances of McAfee or other 3rd Party Security on this computer, you might still not be able to get through. McAfee, Norton, Zone Alarm, etc.'s only goal in life is to block what you're trying to do when it comes to scans!! It sees SMB (v1-v2-v3) as a security flaw, and it's trying to protect you from yourself!

                    Good Luck!
