Hi there!
Paperjam, cleaning bends the spikes (red arrows), bending them back is only temporary solution. Install the modified - OK.

Tech came and put some grease on the fuser assembly gears, but it hasn't helped.????
WHY would you have a tech come out if you list yourself as a tech?
I say an end user...........you need to be honest hereComment

Re: MP C5502 squealing sound VIDEO
it sounds like a resonance, dont understand very well from the video, try to use the "output check" in sp mode to test the motorized parts one by one ... personally it sounds like the noise of the heavy metal bar inside the sleeve to keep / distribute the heat that has loosened screws well, but this is only a supposition"loneliness is an invention of the white man, when we are alone we talk to everything around us, we are never alone" (Ojibwa)Comment

Re: MP C5502 squealing sound VIDEO
Whom ever the tech was didn't pursue the issue with any desire to actually solve the problem. Running various output checks would have been a good place to start to help isolate the problem.
Sounds too loud and not the right noise to me for it to be the PTR. In MY experience the PTR generates skewing and jamming often in conjunction with scratches on the paper and the noise is more of a hiss and not a vibration.
The noise in the video sounds more like a driven roller rubbing against something immobile. I have seen the rubber rollers slip on driven shafts to make contact with surrounding parts. I have also seen plastic guides warp such that they make contact with a moving part. If it is in the fuser there could be a build-up on the stripping plate or the belt assembly's pressure pad has gone dry (this means the belt assembly should be replaced).Comment

Re: MP C5502 squealing sound VIDEO
Does it make this sound when you first get the copier going in the morning? Or does it make this sound the whole time it feeds paper? We have had the rollers on the underside of the PTR case become dislodged/wedged causing a sound similar to this, but the odd thing was that it only made the sound a couple times a day (usually during a duplex run), but ALWAYS made the sound upon first starting up.OmertÃComment

The rollers I'm talking about reside on the rear side of the Paper Transfer Unit on the Right hand Door (Picture 1). And Picture 2 show where on the PTR the rollers are (to avoid any confusion).Attached FilesOmertÃComment
