    mp 501 sc543

    anyone have a 501 with an unresettable sc543? have replaced fuser, ps pcb, iob, ricoh wants me to start replacing harnesses, which never works

    Did you replace the fuse and reset it?

      was it a new fuser or just one from another machine, new one will have reset fuse in it.

          if you replaced the new fuser and the logic board but unsuccessfully I would check the power board

                      ok. lets pretend after 30 years Im getting the hang of this job. ive done what my experience has taught me, ive done what the manual says, ive done what gooses says, and ive done what ricoh said. anyone have anything productive to add?

                            I would change the fuser connector block on the device cause it sounds like you've ruled everything else out mate

                              How about a backup of the NVRAM then do a reset?
                              Let it run.. and see..

                              You still have the luxury of restoring the NVRAM data
