I have a sr910 finisher that is on a Ricoh cl7200 color printer. When a print command is sent to the machine while it is in sleep mode a "misfeed in R finisher" will occur. It will reset and work fine after that. It does not occur when sending print jobs to it while in a ready state. It seems to be a problem with the finisher as it occurs on every printer it is attatched to. I have replaced the interlocks and the paper sensors are good. All printers had up to date firmware. Any ideas?

Check the Finisher Firmware level. I also remember some sort of "replace the logic board" update for these finishers, but can't remember the specifics - may be wrong - brain not working right today - early shutdown in anticipation of turkey overload...73 DE W5SSJ -
The finisher firmware I updated to the latest when I did the printer. At the moment I have no access to the latest tech bulletins......dang it...........NEVER ASSUME ANYTHINGComment

SR910 finisher on CL7300
Hi,
I've just seen a mention that the SR910 can work with the CL7200 with just an update chip - the pdf the thread was referring to though seems to suggest replacing a bunch of parts as well though. The document is :
I just bought a CL7300 and tried to use an SR910 finisher on it but it would not work. It would see it on startup - keeps complaining about a jam (the R message) and to open the finisher door.. as soon as you do it initializes then says ok but won't print to it.
so I left the finisher thinking I have to find the SR950 that is normally for this printer.
If it's just a firmware chip where can this be obtained??
TIA!Comment
