    Ricoh Fax 3310l Double Imaging

I have a fax 3310l with a double imaging problem .This machine is similar to the aficio 1013 .I have so far replaced the entire fuser unit @90k copies, upgraded all firmware including the printer controller which is also installed and the problm has reocurred after 4k copies. The pcu has only recently been changed and original toner being used.Any suggestions greatly apprieciated.

as an add on this machines counts are 60k prints and 35 faxes two years after installation.

What are the Vsg/Vsp/Vt/Vts readings? Double images are a sign of overtoneing. The 3 main causes of overtoneing are: poor drum ground, dev bias, queching lamp.

Seen this one a few times, its just not doing enough work. Any toner left on the H/R isnt cleaned off on the next sheet, it cools off and glues its self to the teflon coating that tends to get a bit porous with age.

          Pcu

The problem turned out to be the pcu, even though it had only a few thousand copies on it. I swaped the pcu into another machine and the fault followed. So new pcu put into machine and problem solved.
          Thanks for the help.
