Hi all,
We have a 3310Le in a field office that's been in service for about a year and a half. It makes an intermittent "thumping" sound when printing. User has changed the toner and imaging drum, but the noise is getting louder and more persistent. Prints still come out, and quality is fine. Had the user reseat toner and imaging drum, to no avail. It does not make the noise when warming up, only when printing.
Here's the question:
Do I have the machine serviced in the field (is this something a tech could do on-site?), or do I replace it with a spare and have it serviced by the local Ricoh depot.
Thanks.
