[CQ] Ricoh MP C307 - ITB waste buildup

This is the second MP C307 that I have seen with waste toner piled up in front of the ITB cleaning section. The first one would only run a few ACC prints before piling up again and producing prints with incomplete fill-in of solids.

I am new to this model. Is this "normal" and just needs to be vacuumed on a constant basis, or is there a something I am missing that will help them operate cleanly?

I have the same "problem" on MP C306 and 307 every 40/45 K pages. A little vacuum and you're done

Depending on it's mileage the ITB unit will probably need replacing. There is a hell of a lot of paper fibre in that picture though, does the customer run particularly cheap paper?

I am in agreement with TonerMunkeh. That does not look like toner against the cleaning blade. It is either paper lint or air borne fiber from something in the environment such as short fiber asbestos.

Yes. That's cheap paper fiber. Hit it with a vacuum and go. I do it all the time.

hello i m new in the forum
i also have one mp c306 ans i clean the itb cleaning unit and after 20 copie is the same.
the mfp arroun 70k in color
do a realy need to change the itb ?

The transfer unit life is 120k if you tried cleaning out already I would replace

I don't know this model but if the belt is within life you can disassemble cleaning section and clean all the paper/toner cr.p inside. Then don't forget to stop using cheep paper/non original toner.

Ok thank you very much i allready vacuum 2 time. The belt is good os just the cleaning system. Too bad we can t order just the system.

i would try a cleaning unit first... IF the belt isn't marked up

Not cleaning the unit, replace or rebuild the ITB cleaning unit.

remove it from the belt frame... turn the auger.. vac it out... clean the blade with IPA and re-powder the blade..

are you even a TECH? because your profile doesn't indicate ANY TRAINING.

They not expensive this happens all the time just order new {oem} and replace
