In both of those pictures, I also see some white lines along the right hand edge of the paper. I'm suspecting the ITB unit (either the cleaning unit or K transfer roller). When you make a black sky shot or any solid black objects, are there lots of white dots in the solid area? Have had to replace the black Transfer roller in the ITB unit before on quite a few machines. Usually those machines were up near the million click mark for black.
What are your copy counts?
Other than that, I would be looking (as suggested earlier) at something barely blocking the K laser path (lint from a towel, toner pile-up, etc.).

I meant it as I installed brand new dev units. They weren't used.

Did you replaced the pcu by a new one? Or cleaned the charge roller of the old one?

Need more info. Is the line running from lead to trail or side to side. Check the transfer belt unit.

Come in to work to check on the forum before hitting the field, and one of the first things I read is a "Drummer Joke"??
