Clean the slit glass for Black and Cyan, if that does not help, clean the doctor blades in the developing units.Comment

Re: Ricoh MP C5503
Tough to say...PCU or developer can cause this..........how many clicks on that box? White lines have been a very common issue on this series and your pic shows that you also have some white lines in one of the colors.
That being said, the most likely culprit is the dv unit in my experience. Steps recommended by Ricoh for issues like this:
APPLICABLE MODEL: MP C3003/MP C3503/MP C4503/MP C5503/MP C6003
SUBJECT: WHITE LINE
SYMPTOM:
A white line is visible on the printout
CAUSE:
The LD glass is dirty with toner, a foreign substance has been mixed in with the toner inside the
development unit, or the toner inside the development unit is caked.
SOLUTION:
1. Print out a 2-by-2 sample.
2. Clean the LD glass for the color on which the symptom occurs.
Important:
- Use shield glass cleaner
- Make sure to remove all the toner from the glass.
3. Print out the 2-by-2 sample again, and check the image quality. If this does not resolve the symptom, do the following:
4. Rotate the development gear by hand for three cycles in the counter clockwise direction.
Note:
- One cycle equals 5 x counterclockwise + 5 x clockwise.
5. Print out five or more sheets of the 2-by-2 sample, and check the image quality. If this does not solve the
symptom, replace the development unit.
Replacing the dv unit as per Ricoh's recommendation is costly. So first , cleaning the doctor blade instead would be the thing to try. You may have chunks or contaminated developer though which may prove difficult to resolve. If problem goes away after cleaning the doctor blade, but returns....you may have no choice but to replace the dv unit.sigpicAnything can be made to work if you fiddle with it long enough- San Diego Copier Repair.comComment

Re: Ricoh MP C5503
50/50 as to it being a bit of toner on the glass or something in the dev unit. One takes 10 seconds to check (clean the glass with blue stick provided) and the other takes 5 minutes to check, separate drum from dev unit and rotate mag roller slightly, experienced eyes will see the void line easily.
Unlike the older colour models (MPC 2500 or 5000 etc) I find it harder to clean out these dev units with a piece of paper and have a lower success rate. Doctor blade seems to be more difficult as well. If dev unit is near life just replace it, you never specificed how much mileage this machine has done... Or what you have done so far to resolve issue.Comment
