Thank you very much sir for this very important note, It is not a shame to ask and try to fix things. I have already changed the DRAM, the code, unplug this machine and clean it up to the smallest gear in it, and assemble it again and it has been working for four years without problems. This is a respectable achievement for someone who does not have experience.

I have no specific specialization, but I as a person who lived his childhood alone and even today I was able to live and gain experience as I do now. Yesterday I read a complete book about the machine.

Try looking in the Service manual under INPUT CHECK. There is also a section for OUTPUT CHECK. If you do not know how to use a service manual, start looking for a different job or if you are an end user, hire someone who does.

fix the copier machines it is not my jop sir ..

ok now that you know how to get to sensor reading . start with one and watch display and open right side door and move sensor that match the one you are checking and see if it changes state from 0 to 1. if they check out then check to make sure sensor is not hanging up some how.

myself don't realize that other countries are different and copier tech are not just around the Conner and cost prohibit get one to come out. we try to safe guard our business so that we will have a job. If it was just given away for free then we would have to find something else after 30 years that would be hard to do as i am old and retirement is 7 years away. most companies would over look me for a young person that doesn't require a high salary and would be with them longer. Yes i like to help where i can. There are people who can afford but are cheap and use this sight for information to fix there copiers which now makes it hard on the rest of us working in industry. it is just my thought other people might see it another way.

That almost looks like a firmware error. I would try re flashing all the firmware. Use individual module firmware, not the Package firmware. Package firmware only replaces those modules that are not at the current version. With module firmware you can select to replace any module whether it is older or current.

parts have a projected page count/life span. IF they aren't replaced at the proper time can be a costly repair in the future.

I don't know how the techs in your country are trained but you must consider:

1) The company they work for have many mouths to feed other than your tech.
2) Any business has operating costs.. if an owner of said company doesn't take into account the extended cost of operation he will fail.
3) In remote countries it is harder/more expensive to get machines/parts/supplies.. Is it the copier company that should suffer because the biz owner doesn't plan properly? Should they lose revenues do to poor planning? No.. the blame there falls on the end user.
4) Copier/Printer companies .. ( any company really ) is there to make money... Don't fault them when YOU think they charge too much or have ( in your opinion ) poorly trained techs.

I have been in this biz for 31+ years and there always an end user, because they aren't familiar with operations of a service company, that blames EVERYTHING from time delays to herpes simplex on their lips, on the machine or the tech or his company... but much like the democrats here... ( re: Hillary Clinton ) the END USER is -= NEVER =- at fault! Shame on them.

I had a very smart sales manager in one company ( yes it's true... smart and didn't screw the customers) .. Dave Lupien always said " An over sight or miscalculation on your part doesn't constitute an emergency on our part"

When i had jams on a mp2000 with duplex, mostly it was solved by cleaning all the duplex rollers very well.
Also look in the fusing unit for worn out bushings of the pressure roller.
Moistured - or (bad) quality - paper has a very big influence on jamming in duplex zone.

Sir, I remind you for the second time that I do not mind dealing with maintenance engineers. I am not a man who prevents the livelihood of people, but in Egypt we do not have efficiency or safety. You find that someone does not understand what you understand and tells you to change a part of the machine just because he can not fix it. And not because this part needs to change

There is a lot of lies and no sincerity in this work here in Egypt and greed to just make money, this is what I fight and reject it and try to do it myself because and with my respect to all the specialists here I say .. I can fix this machine.

I will give you examples of exploitation, first you have to know that in Egypt we are mostly under the poverty line, and the Egyptian people suffer from poverty and the military rule dirty, these machines we do not buy here as new, but imported used from Europe, who import these things do not sell them to the customer directly as it is, But he sees the client, if he sees him ignorant, and the machine will be use in A4 only , he just replacement all the A3 parts and take full the price to because the client just don't know !! this is one

Another thing is to bargain on idle machines at a very small amount and replace them with used ones for an exaggerated amount, then repair the minor defect of the first and sell it as completely new from Europe to another client ! , one of the engineers offered to buy my machine for 500 pounds while the new cost 6000 !! and it works good just not complete the duplex , in the end This is a stole not engineering .

the right door that i bay , i asked one of them in the seem area with me a bout price he asked 1350 pound !! And I bought it from a person with a real price after a great effort and travel for a long distance by only 350 pound !!

Give me a competent and honest person and do not drain the money by stealing it and I will enjoy the event with him While he reconciles the machine and give him what he is asking for. that's it .. but here .. we are just stolen and cheated ..

I hope I have made my point clear. In this stressful discussion .. This doubt was in my mind for a long time, and although the machine repaired it yesterday, but I have the intention to change the firmware also, you are right, I have the intention to run all that was idle and all that I did not use, because I read the Manual and another book about the machine when i am trying to discover the problem , and discovered that there is many options can make work faster and not used by normal user, for example, I did not notice that it can add a WiFi card and thus the possibility of printing Directly from mobile? This is great for a machine of its age.

I thought that this machine was working on direct fax over the telephone line only, and I did not know that it could be set on a fax internet without a phone line, by adjusting your email settings, Internet address and pop3 or MT protocol .. I did not mind running these things later, as long as I got there
