    I was able to test and the problem was even the sensor, I used a part of his idea and I got another sensor, but I mounted a small electrical scheme, to identify even when it is the infrared emitter that are burned, looking at the camera of the cell phone or when the problem is in the phototransistor, through a resistive divider that generates pulses when a barrier is present.     Be aware, a photo sensor may appear to function correctly in a static test, removed from machine, and still be defective. Many fail dynamically due to hysteresis caused by age. It only takes a couple of milliseconds delay to generate a jam detect.

    This works on every photointerrupter:

    Leave it plugged into the copier and powered ON. Use you're meter on 5vdc range. Meter each pin to frame ground. There are (3) pins:

    ground: 0.0vdc
    supply voltage: 5.0vdc
    output: 0.2 to 5.0vdc, depending if the sensor is blocked or unblocked

    Simple! =^..^=

    It gives approximately 20 $ American dollars, or else buy in Aliexpress 90 days of waiting to deliver. :-(

    Look at the parts catalog to see where else in the machine the same sensor might be located. Swap the sensors to see if you fix your problem but create another one in the location where you borrowed the sensor. Quick and easy way to determine if it is indeed the sensor or not.

    $1.30 CAN is approx $2 US. How much is $79 BRL in US dollars? Again, what is your original error/ jam code? You are probably headed in the right direction - sensors do fail but the more info you provide, the better the Copytech brain trust can help you.

    Dear Gary Bowen, here in my country (Brazil) things are not so easy to find and only a sensor of this cost R$ 79.00 (BRL), it is very difficult to find.

    Dear Coptech, thanks for your answer, I checked the machine and did not get a response from the sensor, so I would like to test if it is just this sensor or have other problems.

    This sensor is around $2 (CAN). Why are you wasting your time wanting to test it? What is your actual problem that has you going down this "rabbit" hole?

    verify the connections with point to point but I am pretty sure almost all photointerruptors are 5V. Should be a 5V, a GND, and a signal that will also be 5V but change with status of blocked or not. Why not use the input check mode of the copier and check in the machine?
