    MP C6004 SC720-82

    Sc 720-82

Symptom: Finisher makes a "stuttering" sound. Machine throws an SC720-82.

Cause: At the finisher exit. The mylars on top of the Guide:Leading Edge (D6884197) peel away and prevent the guide from moving in and out.

Fix: My fix has been to cut off the damaged section and in some cases remove the mylar completely.

Apologies for reviving this thread, but thanks a million for the fix! I was about to rip the damn thing apart! This worked for a booklet finisher on an MP 5055

Same Here. MP 6503 Finisher. Don't think I even realized those things were in there until I ran across this thread.

You Sir have saved me a lot of pain. I removed the mylar and it indeed was bent upwards. Thank you.
